I suffer from very bad cramps during my menstrual cycle and am wondering if acupuncture and/or Chinese medicine can help?
Thank you in advance,Sarah
Answer: Hi Sarah,
Great question! Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are very helpful for menstrual cramps. Acupuncture helps to relax the abdominal muscles/uterus and move the blood. Acupuncture also helps decrease the overall pain. Acupuncture has been shown in research studies to help regulate your overall hormone levels. There are a few different causes for your menstrual cramps when looked at from a traditional Chinese medicine perspective. The good thing with Acupuncture and Chinese herbs is we can tailor the treatment specifically to you and your body. This will not only treat the pain but the reason that you are having the cramps in the first place. Thanks for your question! To health, healing and happiness!
